There are plenty of things to see and do during your stay at Stonelands…
The Cottages are situated just 14 miles north of the busy market town of Skipton, where you will find open-air markets 4 times a week.
Take a barge ride on the tranquil Leeds to Liverpool canal or perhaps visit the impressive Skipton Castle.
There are many superb walks to enjoy close to the cottages and Littondale, from easy rambles, to the more adventurous tracks over the fells.
The Three Peaks, Pen-y-Ghent or Whernside may tempt the more experienced walker, while those seeking something a little less ambitious may amble along the delightful bank of the river Skirfare. There are also charming woodland paths to wander along, hiding a multitude of wildlife, including fox’s, deer and falcons.
During your stay at Stonelands, be sure to explore the magnificent show caves, ‘Stump Cross Caverns’ and ‘White Scar Caves’ located nearby.

There are many outdoor activities within easy reach of the cottages. Whether it be angling, pony trekking, clay pigeon shooting, mountain biking, trekking or the more unusual such as hang-gliding or taking a hot air balloon ride.
Whilst staying at Stonelands you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out. Within walking distance you will find the ‘Queens Arms’, a country pub. If you want to venture slightly further a field, no longer than a fifteen minute car journey away you have the choice of a dozen places to eat.
Ranging from simple home cooking and takeaways, including an Indian restaurant and fish and chip shop, to fine dining including the award winning ‘Angel’ restaurant at Hetton.
